On the first segment you’ll be enveloped by some of the most breathtaking scenery in the world: The sheer beauty of the lofty Lechtal Alps creates a dramatic setting of unparalleled splendour.

Amidst this glorious mountain scenery you’ll ride beside foaming Lech River, one of the last natural river systems remaining in the Alps. The first, 45 kilometres long segment is a "sightseeing tour" of natural beauty: Mountain viewing from the seat of a bike puts you "up close and personal" with the incredible scenery where grand mountain panoramas reach in every direction. Along the turbulent and untamed waters of the Lech River it’s an easy and relaxed downhill ride. The trail mostly follows lightly-trafficked back roads through picture-postcard villages that are dotted with lovely, sun bleached timbered farmhouses. This ride along the river is fairly level and easy and requires no orientation skills, so you can focus your attention on the mighty mountains that are looking down from both sides of the valley.
