The road travels mostly flat through Leisach, Amlach and Tristach to a junction where you follow the signs to Lake Tristach. Continue on this road through a luxuriant forest to just before the lake. Pick up the asphalted road towards Kreithof and Lienzer Dolomiten Hütte (1616m) from where you enjoy superb views of the Hohe Tauern mountain range. Ride the same way back to Lake Tristach, a pristine lake where you should stop for a refreshing swim and a nap in the sun. Lienz, the day’s final destination, is only an easy 4-kilometer roll from the lake.
