At the bottom of the Stubai Glacier, the Stubaital sets high standards for a first class bike area with appealing tours, a bike park and a first class bike academy.
The glacier valley is your starting point for more than 720 km of bike tours that are suitable for everyone. The mountain bike routes at Stubaital offer endless variations for every riding level and a range from 500 to 2700 metres above sea level.
www.stubai.at/digital provides online maps including GPS information, which indicate altitude profile, kilometres and the condition of the roads for every tour. This makes planning your ride much easier. The Bike Challenge tour starts in Mieders and is the first stage of Stubai’s Bikemarathon.
Start at the valley station of the Serlesbahnen in Mieders, where you can also rent GPS devices at the desk
Serlesbahnen. The tour takes you from the cable car to the centre of Mieders. Follow the mountain bike signs ‘558 Miederer Berg’ till the Serlesbahn’s mountain station. At the end of the village, take a right in front of the church towards Bachleiten. After the Zirkenhof fork, the tour leads you through beautiful woods until you reach the Mahderhöhe. At the highest point, close to the monastery Maria Waldrast, it goes down to the mountain station Serlesbahn. You reach the station and the end of the Tirol Bike Challenge Tour after a short descent.
